I specialize in the strategy and guidance of decisions; especially those where business processes and technology collide. I've been called a "hack job" because I have fully departed from traditional IT consulting and the idea that you need to spend outrageous amounts of money on enterprise systems. I believe in the profit of essentialism and the application of a minimalist approach to tech.
I’ve spent my entire life bending the world of computers to my will. I pieced together computer components to build my first PCs and I coded a community platform at age 10. Yes. I was that nerd. At 12, I was contacting local tech-forward companies for donations of equipment and media and by 14 I had learned how to register a business and made my first official money “online” (it wasn’t quite the same back then).
Although my early geekery gave me my start, I’ve progressed a bit since then. I’ve helped hundreds of businesses around the US in a wide range of industries. I’ve helped with retail loss prevention and growth strategies from small “mom and pop” shops to big box retailers (Best Buy, Marshall Field’s). I’ve done technology resets and server farm technology implementations for state governments and the US Department of Defense. I’ve helped launch start-ups, conducted merger and acquisition evaluations, restructured enterprises, lead strategic planning sessions and I’ve also been the guy that’s had to close down businesses that no longer worked. I use all of that experience to help each and every client find the path and solutions that are right for them.
If you can tolerate bad jokes and a cheesy smile, give me a call. I would love to sit down for half an hour (free of charge, of course) and hear about your business.
